The variability of the T Tauri stars RY and RU Lupi has been monitored photometrically over the period 1980-1984 at both optical and IR wavelengths. An analysis is made of these observations, investigating the light curves for any regularities and also for evidence of starspots and circumstellar occultations. It seems that the variability of RY Lup is consistent with variable circumstellar extinction, whereas that of RU Lup may be attributable to stellar rotation. The IR excesses of each star are modeled, and it is found that the flux distribution of RY Lup is consistent with either a dust disk-spherical shell combination, or a series of spherical dust shells. The flux distribution of RU Lup requires the addition of a free-free emitting component.
