Relations among light-curve elements, color-curve elements, shell expansion velocities, and photometric classes are investigated for 24 type II supernovae. The ascending branches of the light curves are discussed, and the color curves and visual light curves of several type II supernovae of different photometric classes are examined. The phase dependence of absorption-line Doppler shifts in the spectra of five type II supernovae is illustrated, and previous estimates of the mean absolute magnitude of type II supernovae are evaluated. It is concluded that the absolute photographic magnitudes of type II supernovae are 2 mag less than those of type I supernovae.
