Attention is given to a program to evaluate photometrical properties of
the galaxies in the Shakhbazian groups on the basis of the COSMOS/UKST
catalog of the Southern sky with delta not greater than +2 deg 30
arcmin. About one-fourth of the Shakhbazian groups lie south of this
declination limit. A list of 24 groups, the first result, is presented.
