JHKLM photometric and RI polarimetric data obtained between July 1985 and January 1989 are presented for IRAS 00193-4033 and IRAS 22231-4529. The photometric data are used to construct light curves. It is confirmed that these objects are late-type Miras. Periods and phases are determined by Fourier analysis. These determinations make it possible to study polarization changes as a function of phase in these two sources. A discussion of a possible mechanism to account for changes in polarization angle with phase in Miras is given.
