Jupiter Satellites: Photographic Astrometry, Jupiter Satellites: Positions

Scientific paper

Twenty eight photographic astrometric observations of Jupiter's external satellites (JVI, JVII, JVIII) were carried out with various telescopes in the years 1987 - 1989. Residuals derived from the comparison between observed and computed positions of the satellites are given. The positions of satellites have been computed on the basis of various catalogues (AGK3, PPM, CMC). There are found systematic difference positions PPM-CMC. Differences PPM-AGK3 are insignificant.
