Four open clusters have been investigated in the Vela II and Norma II (Bok et al., 1972) fields by means of RGU three colour photographic photometry (NGC 2925, NGC 6031, Ru 79 and Ru 82) and the cluster NGC 2910 in the Vela II field by means of UBV photometry.
The distances, reddening E(G-R) or E(B- V) and earliest spectral types for these clusters are as follows
Cluster Distance Reddening Earliest (pc) E(G-R) E(B-V) spectral Type
NGC 2910 1320 -- 0.05 b6 NGC 2925 810 0.12 -- b9 Ru 79 1370 0.30 -- b9 - a0 Ru 82 2500 0.40 -- b9 NGC 6031 1590 0.46 -- b6
All these clusters are too old to be spiral arm indicators.
