ZB44 = G512, located at the top of the giant branch of M4, was first suspected to undergo fast light variation in 1975 by YAO Bao-an from photographic observations. It has now been observed photoelectrically with a 60-cm telescope, and the light variation appears to be confirmed, especially at wavelengths around 6250 A, where it showed a quasi-period of 68.5 min and an amplitude of about 0.15 mag. Also, two previously published abnormal variables ZB38 = G30 and ZB39 = G327 have been observed photoelectrically, and the photographic discovery of variability seems real. We repeat our conclusion in /7/, namely, unless there are new sources of errors, we have to say that there exists a group of abnormal variable stars in the direction of M4.
