NGC 45, 55, 247, 253, 300, and 7793, are the conspicuous Sculptor Group
galaxies for which photoelectric UBVRI sequences have been set up. The
purpose of these sequences is to provide direct, zero-point calibrations
for the study of the brighter stars, and, by means of a Pickering-Racine
prism, CCD, or other photometric device, stars of fainter magnitude.
