We present photoelectric UBV (RI)KC photometry of AR Pav obtained during the primary eclipse in 1980. The eclipse behaviour is similar to that observed by previous investigators. From the VRI photometry we find that the secondary is an M3 giant, which is probably variable. A simple interpretation of the photometric colours of the primary object suggests that it comprises a cool and a hot component which radiate like blackbodies with temperatures of about 5000 K and at least 3.104 K respectively.
