Results of reflectance spectra photometry of the Mars central meridian (CM) are given. On the basis of the phase dependence of the albedo and high-contrast CM profiles, it is concluded that large-scale dust storms were absent during the opposition of October-December 1990. The presence of several thin absorption features near wavelengths in the range of 800-1000 nm is noted, and the possibility that a sulfate absorption band exists at 380 nm is discussed.
