Photoelectric observations of the star BV 690 are reported and compared to the results of photographic observations. The object is observed in the B and V colors of Johnson and Morgan's UBV system with a photomultiplier photometer, and observations of other stars are made for comparison. The magnitude differences are given for BV 690, and the star is concluded to be a cepheid-type variable for which Tmax = Hel.J.D. 2442359.490 + 1.2400 E.
