RU Eridani was observed photoelectrically on 11 nights in 1974-75 and 12 nights in 1975-76 with the standard B and V filters. Observations were made with an unrefrigerated EMI 6256B photomultiplier tube with BD 15deg693 and BD 15deg696 used as comparison and check stars respectively. It is found that the period has remained constant during the interval 1932-76, and an improved period of 0.63219951 deg is determined. A tentative classification of F0v-F4v for the primary and G3v-K5v for the secondary is suggested.
