It is proposed that photinos are produced by sources of ultrahigh-energy cosmic rays. Cygnus X-3, a powerful source of neutral particles up to 10,000 TeV, is specifically considered. These are usually assumed to be gamma rays, but there is no direct evidence for this, and shower and underground experiments suggest that there may be another component present. It is estimated here that a photino flux of the order of 10 to the -14th per cu cm per sec above 10 TeV is possible from a source like Cygnus X-3 under certain conditions. The feasibility of detecting these photinos is considered.
