A phase-locking system for millimeter wave klystrons is described. The
system, intended for use in radioastronomical observations of
interstellar molecular lines, produces a stable local oscillator signal
of high spectral purity and permits 50 MHz frequency switching at a rate
of up to 10 Hz.
