Annealing experiments were performed in order to study the equilibria of Cr-troinlite-iron, daubreelite (FeCr2S4)-brezinaite (Cr3S4), Cr-ironfat 840, 745, and 660 C. The equilibria of daubreelite-iron, daubreelite-brezinaite, and daubreelite-troilite-alabandine (ninengerite) also studied at 550 C. The possibility of using these equilibria for thermobarometry of enstatite and iron meteorites is briefly discussed. Some sources of disagreement in thermometer data derived from the daubreelite-alabandine equilibrium and the alabandine-oldhamite thermometer calibrated by Skinner and Lewis (1976), are explained. It is demonstrated that the equilibrium troilite-daubreelite can be used to determine the formation pressure of meteorites.
