Blue magnitudes have been obtained for four newly discovered variables in NGC 1851 as well as for two stars lying in the instability strip but thought to be nonvariable. Periods have been derived for four of the variables, including one of those previously thought to be nonvariable. Three of the new variables appear to be RR Lyrae stars and one is a low-amplitude red variable. The fifth variable has a shorter period than the RR Lyrae stars and may be a field W Ursae Majoris star.
