Using 128 spectrograms of the Be star 59 Cyg obtained during four nights in July - August 1981, it is shown that the equivalent width of the Hα line as well as the intensities of its components vary with every night. Moreover, rapid fluctuations of these parameters with a time scale of dozens of minutes are observed. It is found that the variations of the blue-to-red emission components ratio occur with a 380-min period, on these variations being superimposed rapid fluctuations of also a quasi-periodic character at the time scale of 25 - 40 min.
