Harmonic analysis and epoch-superposition were used to investigate the H-component of the geomagnetic field on the basis of 20 samples from 64 years of observations. A large number of periods of geomagnetic and solar-activity variations are obtained. It is shown that periods of oscillation can be identified in the geomagnetic field which are associated with intrinsic oscillations of the sun. These periods include those of 0.5, 1, 2-3, and 10-11 years, and 13-14 and 26-32 days.
