Periodic solutions are obtained for the second order differential equation, describing the motion of a satellite relative to its center of mass in the elliptical orbit plane. For weakly elliptical orbits, a class of periodic solutions is indicated, satisfying simple boundary conditions. Numerical computations are used to extend these solutions into the region of large eccentricities and attention is given to the branching of the solutions obtained.
