Scientific paper

This paper studies families of symmetric periodic satellite orbits
around a rotating triaxial ellipsoid. Existence of the families of
orbits is established, and Morse's lemma is used to analyze their
bifurcations. Several consequences of the many symmetries of the
ellipsoid are discussed.
