Most pulsars having conal single and double profiles exhibit nulls. Remarkably, only a small minority show regular drifting-subpulse modulation. Sensitive new Arecibo observations provide an unprecedented facility to detect nulls for an accurate pulse-modulation quelling (PMQ) analysis. We demonstrate that many of these pulsars show ``periodic nulling'' similar to the phenomenon seen in pulsar B1133+16.
