Magnitudes for variables have been measured on 240 plates of M28 taken in the Northern Hemisphere from 1939 through 1975. These magnitudes have been combined with measures from 69 plates taken in Chile from 1974 through 1985 and used to determine period changes. Among the 11 RR Lyrae stars studied, four exhibited period changes ranging from +0.24 to -0.80 days/million years; the seven others showed no changes larger than the observational errors. No discernible period change could be found for the one W Virginis star. Long series of observations over several summers have made it possible to determine a better value of the period for V17, and RV Tauri star whose light curve exhibits occasional deep minima. Magnitudes and color are also presented for V7, a star that now appears to be a field Mira variable.
