Results are presented from a calculation of the distances between the center of the moon and the earth over a millenia with account taken of perturbations by solar gravitation. Distances between the surfaces of the earth and the moon measured at several times during 1986 are tabulated to illustrate the wide variations which occur at lunar perigee and apogee. Calculations of apogee and perigee distances between the years 1500-2500 A.D. showed that smallest perigee will be 356, 371 km in 2257 A.D. and the greatest apogee will be 406,720 km in 2266 A.D.
