We present numerical calculations of the peak temperatures experienced by micrometeorites during atmospheric entry. Results are given for particle diameters between 2 and 50 micrometers and for entry velocities between 10 and 25 km/s. A material density of 2 g/cu cm and an entry angle of 45 deg are used for the calculation, but the results presented here can be easily re-interpreted for other densities and for vertical entry.
