A particle-physics model is presented for the large magnetic moment of the electron neutrino required to explain the anticorrelation between the solar neutrino flux and the sunspot number. The model is shown to be consistent with cosmological constraints as well as with existing laboratory experiments. Possible experimental tests of the model are discussed.
