The parametric instability of Alfvén and sound waves in an isothermal layer of the solar plasma is investigated. Conditions of the wave generation are found under the condition that the velocities of Alfvén waves and isothermal sound are constant. The results obtained are used for the interpretation of attenuation of Alfvén wave fluxes in sunspots.
