Formulas are derived for computing the parallaxes of objects located at cosmological distances in a universe that is homogeneous only on the average. The results obtained by applying these formulas are shown to be qualitatively different from the parallaxes calculated in the framework of idealized completely homogeneous cosmological models. Distortions that limit the possibility of measuring cosmological parallaxes are analyzed which arise during the passage of light rays through the gravitational fields of the sun and the Galaxy as well as through the interstellar medium.
