In TYCHO data analysis (2 million stars) photon counts are processed to detect slit transits exceeding a certain signal-to-noise ratio. These detections or transits, collected from, e.g., 6 months of observation, are identified with stars of a TYCHO Input Catalog (TIC) in a subsequent process. A limiting magnitude of (B+V)/2 = 11-0 is expected within small areas of 12 x 12 arcsec sq centered on each TIC position, corresponding to a TYCHO output catalog of at least 500,000 stars. The typical accuracy of a mean value in the output catalog is 0.03 arcsec and 0.03 mag for TYCHO astrometry and photometry, respectively.
