The brightness of TV Col was measured on 163 photographic plates taken at southern stations of the Bamberg and Sonneberg Observatories between 1934 and 1973. Five outbursts reaching up to about 12.25 mag(B) were detected, increasing thus the number of known outbursts of this object to 12 and increasing the evidence for these events long into the past. The recurrence time of the outbursts is observed to be as short as several days on both the archival plates and later photoelectric data. These events can be thus quite frequent.
