We have undertaken configuration interaction calculations of several forbidden and fluorescent lines of astrophysical interest in FeIII. First, we examined some electric dipole transitions from the a7SJ state to the two lowest 7PoJ' levels. We also study some other allowed transitions from the a5DJ ground state to 5PoJ' levels. We have extended these calculations to include intercombination lines of the form a5 DJ-7 PoJ'. Finally, we have obtained results for the a5 DJ-a5 SJ' electric quadropole transitions. In all these results, comparisons have been made with previous calculations.
