Oscillator strengths and damping constants in the spectral region from 830 to 870 nm are obtained from a fit to the solar spectrum. The atomic lines considered are those given in Moore et al. (1966) and Swensson et al. (1974). This spectral region comprehends the lines of the CaII infrared triplet, besides several other atomic lines, and the molecular bands of CN A2Pi-X2Sigma system and TiO A3Phi-X3Delta gamma-system. The results are reported together with a comparison to data from the literature.
