Chondrites: Spherules

Scientific paper

Miono et al. (1993) compared PIXE analysis results of magnetic spherules collected from paleozoic-Mesozoic bedded chert with carbonaceous chondrite and supposed the origin of microspherules to be interstellar in origin, similar to carbonaceous chondrite, rather than interplanetary. The previous suggestion is again confirmed from observation of the internal texture of the microspherules.
