The eccentricity of particles moving in a logarithmic potential as compared with their Keplerian analogs, is examined both numerically and analytically. A particle projected with a given velocity at right angles to its radius vector from the center is considered. Equations are given for the Newtonian and the logarithmic case, and estimations agree with numerical orbit computations. It is shown that the orbital pseudo-eccentricity of a particle in motion in a logarithmic potential is near one-half of the Keplerian eccentricity.
