Within the framework of the tetrad formalism of general relativity, frames of reference are derived for the Schwarzschild gravitational field which generalize the orbital and perigean coordinate systems commonly used in solving inertial navigation problems. Exact expressions are obtained within these frames of reference for gyroscope precession for the case of its arbitrary geodesic motion and for the physical components of the magnetic dipole field intensity used in satellite attitude control systems. It is shown that gravity corrections to the magnetic field intensity can be measured by state-of-the-art quantum magnetometers.
