It is shown in the framework of the plane circular restricted three-body problem that, in the case of first-order resonances, asteroids that are unstable in the Hill sense can nevertheless have stable orbits. In the outer part of the asteroid belt, resonance effects can lead to stable resonance orbits characterized by librational motion. Limits and periods of eccentricity variation are calculated for a specific group of asteroids.
