Chinese Small Telescope Array (CSTAR) , used for astronomical observation in Antarctic, was successfully mounted in the inland highest plateau- Dome A in Jan. 2008 by Chinese 24th research expedition team, which is the first Chinese Antarctic astronomical telescope. Just like what the astronomers predicted, Dome A is an excellent astronomical site. The clear images sent back by the CSTAR have further proved the possibility and advantages for doing astronomical research in Antarctic. This paper emphasizes on the part of the optical system of CSTAR, and the methods adopted to guarantee a high quality images under the ultra-low temperature in Dome A. The real observation results from Dome A are also given at the end of the paper.
