γ-ray binaries are a new and rare class of O- and B-type stars that interact with compact companions to produce MeV-TeV emission. The γ-ray source HESS J0632+057 was recently proposed to be a γ-ray binary, likely associated with the optical counterpart HD 259440. We have obtained optical spectra of HD 259440 from the KPNO Coudé Feed, KPNO 2.1m, and WIRO 2.3m telescopes. Here we present a new spectral classification and stellar physical parameters of the Be star. From the observed spectral energy distribution, we determine a first order estimate of the properties of the circumstellar disk. We also examine our spectra for radial velocity shifts to investigate the binarity of the optical star.
