Spectral observations of the NGC 6677 galaxy and the adjacent object showed that: (1) the bright compact object is a star belonging to our Galaxy but not an active galaxy; (2) the NGC 6677 galaxy has a sufficiently rich emission spectrum. On the basis of measured values of Z, the inclination and the extent of emission lines, the mass of the galaxy has been estimated (M = 7×109M_sun;).
