Optical polarization data are presented for the archetypal pre-main-sequence bipolar nebula illuminated by LkHα208. The data lead to an interpretation whereby the major axis of the nebula is close to the plane of the sky and the circumstellar ring is very extensive in the radial direction and partially obscures one of the lobes. The mass of the ring is estimated to be 0.3 M_sun;.
