The first five systematic campaigns of optical positions for the radio star β Persei began, at the astrolabe of the Paris Observatory, in 1975 (Debarbat et al., 1981). Three more campaigns have been performed; the limits of the observations, their number at both (east and west) transits are given in table I. Table II gives the Δα and Δδ(with the meaning "Astrolabe-FK4") together with the mean square error for each campaign. The more or less abnormal value in declination for the 1982/1983 campaign could be the result of the limited number of observations at both transits. β Persei is one of the radiostars to be used for linking of "radio" and "optical" reference system.
