The multispectral approach proved to be a very significant tool in analyses of high-energy sources. Although there are several programs providing sky monitoring at high energies, the optical monitoring is still inadequate. For many of important activity phases of high-energy sources, the optical data are missing or are of poor sampling. We refer on ongoing projects aimed to change this situation. The first project is related to the use of digitized sky patrol plates. The use of powerful computers allows for the first time to fully extract the scientific information included in astronomical archival plates and to create light curves etc. for all objects within the plates. The sampling available this way is of order of 1...10 days in the best cases at limiting magnitudes of 14...22 (depending on the archive). The second project is related to CCD monitors developed and operated around the world. They are also able to provide dense monitoring of galactic and extragalactic sources with good sampling. Finally, the OMC camera onboard INTEGRAL will be able to monitor selected sources with limiting magnitude of 17...18. .
