We have observed a sample of 8 BL Lac Objects with high temporal resolution of minutes to study the connections between continuum micro-variability and luminosity. The absolute magnitudes of the sample targets range from -21 to -26. The observations were carried out at the South African Astronomical Observatory and the Mount Stromlo and Siding Spring Observatories in selected periods from 1994-1997. The Observations were made with 5 filters (UVIZ and broad V) from near-UV to near-IR using 1-m class telescopes. Differential photometry was obtained with non-varying field stars. As large an amplitude as 0.4 magnitude was detected in less than 30 minutes in one object. In another case seemingly correlated variations were detected in U and V bands with a time lag of approximately 6-8 minutes, with U leading. We will present the light curves of the sample objects and discuss the possible connection between the amplitude/time-scale of continuum variability and the luminosity, and the constraints to the theoretical models.
