A TV system was used to study optical effects arising during the initial stage of the injection of a plasma-forming mixture (Cs, Na, and Ba) from a rocket into the ionosphere. A multiple glow wave structure in the injection region was detected. The main dynamic properties of this glow can be explained by the expansion in the residual atmosphere of two phases of injected material: gaseous and condensed.
