A three-mirror design is presented which makes it possible to assemble
the main mirror of a large telescope from smaller-sized spherical
mirrors. An objective with three relative-aperture values is calculated
which is similar to the objective of the 3.8-m diameter telescope of the
Kitt Peak Observatory in the USA.
