We present images of the Lockman hole from the Optical/UV Monitor on XMM, covering 2000 - 6000 A in several filters. These images were obtained as part of the XMM performance verification. We present limiting magnitudes in each filter, source counts, colors, and summary of the catalog of the objects detected in the images. We discuss the X-ray-to-optical luminosity ratio of a sample of objects also detected in X-ray images.
