White Dwarfs, Ultraviolet: Stars

We have carried out optical and far-UV studies of the field around the EUV source EUVE JI027+323. We find two objects which contribute to this flux which are spatially unresolvable with EUVE. One is a noncataloged QSO and one is a hidden hot white dwarf. The relative contribution of each of these to the total EUV flux is uncertain; reasonable scenarios ascribe the majority of the flux to the white dwarf.
