We shall present new maps of the 3-D spatial distribution of both neutral and partially ionized gas (gained from NaI and CaII absorption data) residing within 300pc of the Sun. These maps reveal a very fragmented neutral boundary to the Local Cavity and indicate that the inner "empty" region of this interstellar void may consist of a honeycomb of small rarefied cavities each surrounded by thin partially ionized filamentary walls.
