An excursion to heavy U isotope compositions in the 2.5 Ga Mt. McRae
Shale (Hamersley Basin, Western Australia) implies a small oceanic U
inventory and possible oxidative mobilization of U beneath the
low-oxygen Late Archean atmosphere.
