Speckle interferometric observations have been made at the ESO 3.6 m telescope on η Carinae under very good seeing conditions. Short exposure "good image" selection and the Knox and Thompson technique allowed spatial spectrum phase recovery information. The Biraud algorithm and the maximum entropy method have been used and one-dimensional high resolution images (0arcsec.1) of the source have been obtained.
