We prove that split Kac-Moody groups over local fi?elds naturally lead to topological twin buildings in the sense of Kramer. We use this to classify all connected Moufang topological twin building, whose underlying Coxeter diagram contains no loop and no isolated vertices, in terms of local data. In the totally-disconnected case we obtain a similar classi?cation for split Moufang topological twin buildings.
